Gypsy Catamaran Plans

The gypsy 28 was the woods designs own cruising boat for five very successful years. 20 years after launching, and after a succession of different owners i heard it had sailed uk to morocco it was designed as an easy to build budget ocean cruiser and many are now sailing in all corners of the world.. The plan calls for using "best quality hardwood" 2 inch by 3 inch to be used. for this special hardwood i was recommended a tropical hardwood balau hitam . this species was recommended to me by a hasher friend and he had been kind enough to select a matured tree to saw the timber for me.. Re: after 7 years gypsy catamaran launched. the tiller cross beam does sag because it is a wood 1x2 spanning 17 feet. i may double it to stop the sagging but functional wise it should work..
